Manila, Philippines – Civil Engineering students from the University of the Cordilleras – College of Engineering and Architecture recently showcased their skills at the Midas Academic Festival 2024, held on October 28 at the Century Park Hotel in Malate, Manila. Competing in a series of challenging events—Quiz Competition, MIDAS GEN Speed Modelling, MIDAS Civil Speed Modelling, and Bridge Building—the team demonstrated remarkable expertise and technical prowess.
The highlight of their achievements was in the Bridge Building competition, where they clinched the prestigious Craftsmanship Category award. This award underscored their meticulous design, structural soundness, and innovative approach to bridge construction. The team, composed of Jaime Cachin Jr., Lou Ethan Del Comendador, Bryan Paul Gadiaza, Jeff Linmayog, and Redentor Bontagen, was coached by Brian Jhay Guzman, whose guidance was instrumental in their success.
The Midas Academic Festival brought together students from various universities to showcase their engineering abilities and problem-solving skills.
