The Computer Engineering Department successfully hosted the 2025 Regional General Assembly of the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (ICpEP)-CAR last January 9, 2025. The event brought together participants from esteemed institutions across the Cordilleras, including Kalinga State University (KSU), Ifugao State University-Potia Campus, University of Baguio, and University of the Cordilleras.
The assembly commenced with a seminar titled “AI Tools in Research”, presented by Ms. Vanessa Kate C. Aniceto, MBA. This insightful session highlighted various artificial intelligence tools designed to support students and professionals in their research pursuits. Emphasis was placed on adhering to ethical guidelines when utilizing AI technologies, ensuring responsible and effective use.

Following the seminar, the election of ICpEP-CAR officers took place, presided over by the outgoing President, Engr. Dionisio R. Tandingan Jr., MCS, MAEd, PCpE. Afterward, the newly elected officers for both ICpEP-CAR and ICpEP.se CAR took their Oath of Office, administered by ICpEP National President, Dr. Roben A. Juanatas, PCpE.
The department extends its heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected officers and wishes them success in their leadership roles. The event marked another milestone in fostering collaboration and professional growth among computer engineers in the region.
