Baguio City, February 14, 2025 – The Bridge Building Competition 2025, held as part of CE Fest 2025, brought together 85 participants from 17 competing teams to test their structural engineering skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.  The competition aimed to promote innovation in bridge design while reinforcing the principles of sustainable infrastructure.

Participants were challenged to design and construct model bridges capable of withstanding various load conditions, simulating real-world engineering challenges. The event highlighted the importance of structural efficiency, material optimization, and resilience, key aspects in modern bridge construction. Teams demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, teamwork, and adaptability as they navigated the competition’s rigorous testing phase.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the competition emphasized Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG 9) by encouraging the development of resilient structures and fostering engineering ingenuity. It also contributed to Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) by promoting designs that prioritize durability, safety, and sustainability in infrastructure development.

The success of the Bridge Building Competition 2025 was made possible through the collaborative efforts of participants, organizers, and sponsors. Their dedication continues to inspire future engineers to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for the built environment.
