UC-COE Electronics Engineering Students Wins Multiple Awards at IECEP CAR 2025

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – UC Student Chapter (IECEP UC) made waves at the IECEP CAR Regional Students’ Summit 2025, held on October 4, 2025, at the University of Baguio Centennial Hall. The event brought together some of the most talented Electronics Engineering students from across the Cordillera region, and the UC-ECE team definitely stood out with their outstanding performances in both academic and non-academic competitions.

The UC delegation showcased exceptional technical mastery, securing the championship title in the Elite Electronics Showdown 2025, while also earning several runner-up spots in major categories such as the Interscholastic Quiz Show, Math Olympiad, and CommQuest. Their performance demonstrated not only intelligence and skill but also teamwork and innovation in solving complex engineering problems.

Beyond the technical challenges, UC’s students proved their versatility by dominating the non-academic categories, bagging four championship titles in Impromptu Speech, Essay Writing, Meme & Infographic Making, and Student Video Documentation. Their creative works highlighted communication skills, artistry, and social awareness—key qualities of well-rounded engineers in the modern world. The group also earned first runner-up honors in Digital Arts and Acoustic Duet Singing, further emphasizing UC’s holistic approach to student development.

These victories allow the winning UC representatives to advance to the National Students’ Summit 2025 in Marikina City, carrying the pride of the Cordillera region and the UC community. More than just medals and trophies, these achievements reflect the university’s culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), these accomplishments strongly support SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting academic growth and skill enhancement, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by fostering technological creativity and applied learning, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among educational institutions. The success of the UC delegation stands as a shining example of how education and innovation can work hand in hand to build a sustainable and empowered future.
