October 12, 2024 – The University of the Cordilleras (UC) IECEP Student Chapter recently made a remarkable impact at the IECEP-CAR Student Summit, a prestigious event that gathers top students from across the region to compete, collaborate, and learn.
In academic competitions, UC representatives stood out. The Interscholastic Quiz Show, testing knowledge, speed, and strategy, saw the team of Janssen Emperador, Kyle Valenciano, Leinz Tacderas, Jasper Basilio, and Marinard Valdez secure an impressive first runner-up position. Their quick thinking and teamwork were key as they skillfully handled challenging questions. UC’s success continued in the Math Olympiad, where Clarence Vilaray, Gilliane Garcia, and Louie Orbase emerged as champions, showcasing outstanding problem-solving skills and a solid grasp of mathematical concepts.
In the creative sphere, Angela Palangeo and Denz Gaerlan represented UC with distinction in the Euphony competition, where their innovative ideas earned them a well-deserved second runner-up spot.
The achievements of the UC IECEP Student Chapter reflect the dedication, hard work, and intellectual prowess of its members, bringing pride to the university and inspiring future engineers.
