Regional CpE Challenge 2025: Fostering Excellence in CpE Education

The Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines -CAR and University of the Cordilleras hosted the Regional CpE Challenge 2025 last January 10, 2025, which gather Computer Engineering students across the region to demonstrate their skills in various CpE practices. This event aimed to cultivate a spirit of healthy competition, foster collaboration, and provide real-world problem-solving experiences.

The competition commenced with expert facilitators managing various tracks, including Engr. Maria Victoria Castillo for the Quiz Bowl, Engr. Karen Allen Suarez for Breadboarding and Programming, and Engrs. Karren Allen Suarez and Engr. Denmel Paul Saavedra for the Robothon Pitching competition. A notable addition this year was the Mobile Legends tournament, which combined technical proficiency with strategic gameplay. Big winner for the competition is the University of the Cordilleras Computer Engineering students as they bagged the championship in all categories.

Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, the event emphasized accessible and equitable education, encouraging lifelong learning and skill development. The diverse tracks challenged participants to apply their knowledge in practical settings, promoting employable skills, entrepreneurship, and decent jobs. Furthermore, the event nurtured teamwork, global citizenship, and cultural understanding, contributing to a culture of peace and non-violence.

The Regional CpE Challenge 2024–2025 created a dynamic platform for students to share their passion for computer engineering, exchange ideas, and gain insights from peers. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, the event successfully advanced its mission of enhancing education and inspiring the next generation of innovators.
