Master of Science in Civil Engineering
The Master of Science in Civil Engineering program aims to provide advanced knowledge of the scientific principles in civil engineering and develop in-depth analysis and solution to engineering problems.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Civil engineering is a profession that applies the basic principles of science in conjunction with mathematical and computational tools to solve problems associated with developing and sustaining civilized life on our planet.
This is a specialized professional engineering program aimed with the application of physical and scientific principles in the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment. It evolves through linkages in knowledge of structures, materials science, hydrology, geology, and environmental science. UC’s civil engineering program focuses on the training of students in the field of structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and water resources engineering.
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Planning
As defined by RA 10587. Environmental Planning, also known as urban and regional planning, town and country planning and/or human settlements planning is the multidisciplinary art and science of analyzing, specifying, classifying, harmonizing, managing and regulating the use and development of land and water resources in relation to their environs for the development of sustainable communities and ecosystems.
The program also refers to activities concerned with the management and development of land as well as preservation, conservation, and rehabilitation of human environment.
Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Sanitary Engineering
The BSEnSE program recognizes the importance of sanitary engineering in the protection and preservation of the environment as well as the promotion of health and well-being of the general public. The groundwork of student preparation is based on acknowledging the fundamental competencies required of the undergraduates to assume the specific roles of professionals in nation building in the future.
The program involves the integration of civil engineering knowledge into environmental protection and impact analysis. The focus is on the design of water purification systems, wastewater treatment facilities planning and design, pollution reduction management and solid waste management. UC’s Sanitary Engineering program gives emphasis on the management and protection of the environment.
Master of Science in Architecture
The Master of Science in Architecture, specializing in Urban Design and Planning, offers a rigorous curriculum designed to impact advanced competencies in the creation of sustainable, inclusive, and dynamic urban landscapes.
The program synthesizes architectural principles with sophisticated urban planning methodologies, cultivating a nuance perspective for the comprehensive orchestration of the built environment. Graduates are adept in navigating contemporary urban complexities, poised to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of resilient and aesthetically refined urban centers.
Bachelor of Science in Architecture
The practice of architecture is the act of planning and architectural designing, structural conceptualization, designing of built structures and their environment, specifying, supervising, and giving general administration and responsible direction to the erection, enlargement or alterations of buildings and building environments and architectural design in engineering structures or any part thereof.
Architectural education provides students with knowledge and skills in planning, design and the construction of buildings considering the principles of aesthetics, utility, and strength. UC’s architecture students are trained to be at the forefront of urban planning and design.
Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Visual Communication
The program is characterized by the process of 1) pursuing aesthetic concerns, 2) using visual and supplementary sensory devices creatively to translate ideas, and 3) producing and authoring media and related technologies to express ideas, communicate messages and raise opinions to elicit reactions and actions from audiences, users or receivers of information.
Fine Arts includes study of the nature and practice of visual communication discipline through courses in techniques, materials, figure drawing, design theory, art history, visual communication design, digital design, production work, photography, advertising, creative research, portfolio-making, and creative management.
Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering
Electronics is the science dealing with the development and application of devices and systems involving the flow of electronics or other carriers of electric charge, in a vacuum, in gaseous media, in plasma, in semiconductors, in solid-state and/or in similar devices, including, but not limited to, applications involving optical, electromagnetic and other energy forms when transduced or converted into electronic signals.
This program involves the application of engineering sciences to the investigation, analysis, planning and design, development, repair, control and technical support of electronic components, devices, products, and instruments. The UC Electronics Engineering program gives emphasis on trainings involving electronics and telecommunications.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is a program that embodies the science and technology of design, development, implementation, maintenance and integration of software and hardware components in modern computing systems and computer-controlled equipment.
A program that blends in electrical engineering and computer science to develop advancement in computer systems, digital technology and computer networking making computer systems faster and more powerful. Computer Engineering offers varied career paths for hardware engineering and software engineering which drives computing advances in industries.
Bachelor of Science in Mechatronics Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering is the design of computer-controlled electromechanical systems. The essence of it is that the design of the mechanical system must be performed together with the design of the electrical/electronic and computer control aspects that together comprise a complete system. Mechatronics engineering graduates often pursue careers in product and software design, technology analysis, program coordination, and more. They usually work for technology companies, manufacturers, and telecommunications companies.
