UC Mechatronics Engineering Society’s booth earned the title “Most Innovative Booth.” at this year’s UC Freshie Day Student Organization Expo 2025 held on October 1, 2025, at the University of the Cordilleras.. Their engaging presentation featured a Dobot Magician robot used in a block stacking game, drawing attention from visitors for its dynamic display of automation and precision. The booth not only captured the essence of Mechatronics Engineering but also reflected the organization’s commitment to innovation, collaboration, and student engagement. Joining Mechatronics Society at this event representing the college were the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines Student Edition – University of the Cordilleras (ICpEP.SE-UC), the UC Mechatronics Engineering Society, the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers – University of the Cordilleras Student Chapter (PICE-UC), and the Philippine Society of Sanitary Engineers – UC Student Chapter (PSSE-UC). Each organization showcased their respective programs through creative and interactive booths, highlighting the practical applications and innovations within their engineering fields.
This Expo supported the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. By providing a hands-on and interactive learning experience, the event encouraged students to embrace technology, creativity, and teamwork—key components of sustainable innovation. Moreover, it fostered an environment where students can learn beyond the classroom, empowering them to contribute to future technological and industrial advancements that align with global development goals.
